Elizabeth Packwood, Athletic Trainer

Elizabeth Packwood, MS, LAT, ATC

Elizabeth is thrilled to join Avid Sports Medicine with over five years of experience as an Athletic Trainer. She brings experience from a varied background in high school, collegiate, and surgical orthopedic as well as physical therapy clinic settings.

Originally from New England, Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree in 2016 from Boston University and completed her Master’s Degree in Human Physiology from her alma mater in 2019. She moved to the west coast for the first time at the end of July 2021 and is excited for her new adventures in the Bay Area, (and no more cold winters!)

Elizabeth participated in several sports growing up including soccer, basketball, lacrosse, track, and rowing (crew). She brings that athletic experience into her clinic work, providing therapeutic exercise for all ranges of patients, whether they’re trying to get back to a sport, or simply their everyday activities. She uses a holistic approach that considers the whole patient, and not just their injury. She is excited to assist Dr. Jow in comprehensive, patient-centered care with her expertise in therapeutic exercise, movement assessment, postural training, and manual therapies.

When not in the clinic, Elizabeth enjoys a variety of activities including rock climbing, camping, and hiking with her dog along the coastal trails of Marin County.

Whether you’re an Avid or aspiring runner, dancer, cyclist, yogi, swimmer… We empower you to either keep moving or start moving the way you want to.
